BEHAVIOR DAY TREATMENT PROGRAM

The TPC Behavior Day Treatment Program is designed for children diagnosed with Pervasive Developmental Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder and children diagnosed with Intellectual Disabilities. The primary age range for treatment is from 18 months to 10 years of age. Children outside of this age range can be accepted on a case-by-case basis. One-on-one intensive treatment will be provided through Applied Behavior Analysis, which has been shown to help children “make substantial, sustained gains in IQ, language, academic performance, and adaptive behavior as well as measures of social behavior." (American Academy of Pediatrics)

PROGRAM FOCUS

The focus of the Behavior Day Treatment Program will be on providing individualized treatment that will teach children the necessary skills to function at a higher level within their families and community. The program will also focus on integrating children into their natural learning environments and reduce the need for one-on-one training. Program staff will work closely with parents, teachers, paraprofessionals and therapists to instruct them on using ABA procedures to help their child or client gain the highest level of functioning possible.
